Covid-19 Update - September 17, 2020.

From 680 News:

As you are all aware, The Premier of Ontario Doug Ford announced today that social gathering sizes will be decreasing in Toronto, Peel Region, and Ottawa as of 12:01 a.m Friday September 18, 2020.

Social gathering sizes shrink to 10 indoors and 25 outdoors for those three regions.

Limits remain at 50 indoor and 100 outdoor in all other areas of the province.

Indoor and outdoor events and gatherings cannot be merged together. For example, gatherings of 35 (25 outdoors and 10 indoors) are not permitted.

The new rules apply to all unmonitored social gatherings such as parties, dinners, gatherings, BBQs or wedding receptions held in private residences, backyards, parks and other recreational areas.

The new limits will not apply to events or gatherings held in staffed businesses and facilities,

such as bars, restaurants, cinemas, convention centres or banquet halls, gyms,

and recreational sporting or performing art events.

Existing rules, including public health and workplace safety measures, for these businesses and facilities continue to be in effect.

Ford also announced a new minimum fine of $10,000 for organizers of illegal social gatherings.

Attendees could still be subject to a fine of $750 for breaking social gathering rules.

  • We need to please maintain social distancing of 6 feet apart.
  • We need to make sure only 5 players are in the dugouts and the rest of the players are either coaching or staying outside the dugout.
  • We need to make sure all ball bags are socially distanced within 6 feet apart.
  • Team Reps must have all ball bags placed on the fence beside 1st base or 3rd base.
  • All balls must be sanitized and ONLY balls retrieved by their own players and then sanitized again.
  • It is strongly recommended to have all base runners wear a mask or gaiter.

The season will be coming to an end shortly and playoffs will end on Saturday October 17 or Sunday October 18, 2020.
Playoffs will start after the reguler season is over so be prepared to start playoffs on your night of play prior to the above weekend.
Playoffs are a double knockout format but single game Finals!
